MissFusion - Band Info

JJ Watkins

Since age 14, JJ got involved with the local radio station in Gloucester in the record library and assisted in running it, and programming the stations music output for the following 8 years.

JJ obtained his own soul and dance show on this local station aged late teens which ran on Saturday evenings for over 3 years.

JJ treaded the boards by DJin in pubs and clubs aged ... 18 (well, nearly) in Bath, Birmingham, Bristol and closer to home in Gloucester/Cheltenham, until recently (although, still known to come out with a bag of records when least expected.)

JJ started presenting the Groove Theory show on Gloucester FM radio (GFM 96.6 FM) 4 years ago and lovin every minute of it. You can catch him (football passion permitting of course) on Saturdays between 12 noon and 2.00 pm).

JJ sees the radio show as a great opportunity to get involved with something new, fresh and the way forward for local radio stations and to give something back to the Community and took this further by being introduced to Tania of MissFusion by a mutual friend Mike Ho in early 2006.

His first band, JJ saw MissFusion who were playing a range of diverse music from black origin, as
affording him the opportunity to continue to spread the gospel of soul music and anything with a groove to audiences who want the live experience across the country.
